Welcome to Lara Janzen Photography, my name is Lara (pronounced  Lah-Rah) 

I am so looking forward to meeting you and working with you to create lasting memories with photo art!

As a mom and someone who took on the roll of family documentarian with photography, and as a mom who has two boys who are now past high school, I realize more than ever, the importance of having those precious family moments viewable throughout the home.

It gives me great joy to see all the images of my boys from preschool to high school graduation up on the walls in my home. I want to share that joy with you. We can meet or chat and get to know each other and I can find out what you feel is important to you and your family, your memories, your favorite things to do with each other (within reason) and we will plan the photo shoot with those things in mind. 

I want to make your photo shoot a special time where you enjoy your family and I take care of all the other stuff. I want you to feel the excitement I feel when your photo art is ready and you see it for the first time.  I hope you feel the love and enjoy the moments when walking by the hallway, bedroom, living room or den with your family art on the wall, bookcase or table.

I know the preciousness of these photos because I have lost a dear friend and a very special cousin to illness. I am so glad I had taken photos of both and can fondly remember them as the lovely, vibrant people they were before the illness took that away. Their presence is brought closer when I look upon the photos of them. You have the same opportunity to stop time and save these memories. If you need someone to guide you, I would love to work with you to preserve these moments showcasing the people who mean the world to you.

In our present day of phone photos and digital media, we sometime loose sight of those photos as they get buried under other electronic “stuff”. You will not have that issue if you print those special photos and I want to help you keep your family and friends close by and always available for years to come.

Lara has achieved her Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) endorsement. This is important to you because it means that the photographic work is Consistent in quality, using the Technical excellence required to pass the CPP exams.
